Necropalypse: The River of Souls

ChaoZ had endured a hard blow when Necropalypse attacked. But the necropalypse leader had been vanquished so they had won. According to Reganya the leader was the only one capable of keeping the group together. Necropalypse was no longer a threat.

But not all of its members had been destroyed. A few remained, each of them powerfull necromancers. Even on their own these dangerous men/women could easily threaten ChaoZ and the Centrean countries. So Kenichi had sent out a few ChaoZ members to hunt them down and stop them before they came back to bite us in the ass.

Kenichi himself stayed behind to get the Inn rebuilt and arrange other stuff, like Satra and Death's funerals. So he sent Roltharus and Scott and ??? to a former Blackshroud empire country. Rumors circulated that a certain Pharaoh was turning the locals into his own army of mummies.

(Rol and Scott you may choose one NPC member to join you. Only one, not one per person, just one. You'll have to decide together.)


Endo:
pros:Is good at sword combat(has huge rune sword, infused with demonic runes)
tough armor
Magic skils (including,demonic fireballs, evil curses, necromancy, etc.)
Not afraid to do morally wrong things (see ebil)

cons:Is rather slow
no sense of stealth,( I mean how hard is it to notice a winged half demon wearing a huge ass armor.)
Not afraid to do morally wrong things. (see evil)

cons: Goes AFK all the time(especially when you most need him)
Arrows aren't fit for close combat

Can make health and energy potions.
Miss fanservice

cons: low mana levels
Kai can be an annoying ass
Might get distracted by sexy Mummies.

Has many kinds of potions(health,energy,explosive)
possible romantic interest for Jex (fun times) (Jex isn't in this)
Is a good cook too.

cons: Inexpirienced
Not good at fighting

command over ghosts (ghosts can go through walls)
Rol can control him in his shadow form. (poor doomy)

cons:
Not exactly mature
A bit whiny (especialy now he lost his aunt)
Might pass out when he sees a female Mummy,gets a nosebleed too (aka fan service allergy)

pros:
can possess  any other person or anything really
can possess doomy and make him very powerfull (Can only choose one so)

cons:
Doomy dislikes her so he'd rather not have her possess him (but he can be talked into it if its really needed)
New member, from necropalypse originally, can she be trusted?

You start outside a random town in the country you need to be in. I'll post more once you choose an NPC member.

The full moon shone brightly above the small village ahead. Reganya walked out of the woods with the other three following. 


"This is it."

"Finally! We've been walking for ages! Ugh my feet are tired."
"It was only half an hour. You slept for most of the train ride. Your feet are perfectly fine."
"Shuddup.." <.<

Reganya and Doomy kept arguing while walking towards the village. It was almost midnight so the town looked very empty. Most people were asleep after all.


"Ok, so what should we do first? We can't go ask around for information at this time of night." Reganya asks as she turns her lack of face towards Rol and Scott.

"We look for evil undeady things. Duh."

Rol stretched and yawned. 

"Then when I can nap and not get yelled at because I actually did something."

The bounty hunter looked at the empty village/town/city/whatever. 

"INVESTIGATION TIME."

"I agree with Rol, TIME TO INVESTIGATE!" 


"Who wants to head out with me, because I think it would be better if we split up. Doomy?"


Scott then starts walking hopping doomy would follow

"Eh? Why me?.. Well I guess its better than being around these two."

Doomy glares at Reganya and Rol before running off after Scott.



"Guess that leaves us. I'll follow you, lets go."

"Was he mad IScott seperated him from his girlfriend?"

The bounty hunter teased.

"Anyways, so do we follow them and see if the missed anything as I'm sure they will, or go in the opposite direction and explore a new area?"

Rol was rather indifferent, he just wanted that nap.

"Girlfriend? That's just riddiculous."

Reganya sighed and looked in the direction the others had gone.

"We should follow them. They're bound to get into a mess we'll need to get them out of."

She started walking. Keeping enough distance to not be noticed but still close enough to keep an eye on the two three trouble makers. Including the one next to her.

"But.. He was inside you.. Or, you were inside him.. Something like that. That is only something people should do when they are close, right?"

Rol shook his head.

"Whatever.. Kids these days, promiscuous." He muttered.

He followed behind Reganya.

"That's not.. "

Reganya freaks out.


"My powers are not sexual damn it! Ugh."

"Suuuureee they aren't."

Rol rolled his eyes. 

"Just make sure you and Deathy don't get distracted by your "not sexual" powers on the task at hand."

Scotty
"So, hey doomy, what were we supposed to be doing again, I kinda just ran off with out thinking, some sort of hide and seek game right?"


Scott walks on looking at every single door way, window, hole, anything that seemed dark. But he used an internal light just in case.

"We're supposed to find leads to that mummy necromancer guy. We should be able to find at least some stuff relating to necromancy around here. So just scan the place or whatever you robots do."

Doomy kept walking glancing around without paying too much attention. Probably missing a ton of clues.



Meanwhile behind them Reganya and Rol were keeping their distance. Reganya checked the area to the best of her abilities. She kneeled down and put her hand on the ground. Trying to sense any Undead energies.


"This.. Something feels off. What is this.."


As soon as the clock struck midnight the atmosphere around the town changed. All four adventurers felt a slight shock that seemed to have come from nowhere. The air arround them changed. Everything was covered in a light green glow.


"..The Moon!"

The full moon above them was glowing bright green and was covering the entire town in an eery atmosphere. The adventurers saw things move n the corner of their eyes. This town wasn't as empty as it seemed before.


In front of Scott and Doomy a humanoid figure appeared. It stood in the middle of the road and wasn't moving at all. It was just too far away to make out what it was.

"Sooo. Cryptic undead things. Why are we surprised? Aren't we hunting the members of the Necropalypse? I mean, I could be wrong... I'm kind of stupid, but still."  


The bounty hunter sighed. Pulling out Pew & Pew. 

He yelled out. "I don't suppose anyway would be gracious enough to come out and play?" Unaware of the presence in front of his companions.

Reganya stares at the moon. She's so focused on it that she doesn't even hear Rol speak.

"This can't be.. not again.. No.. NO!"

She drops to her knees and clutches her head. It almost sounds lke she's crying. But that's impossible, she doesn't have a face. So probably no tear ducts either. 
After a minute of this she gets back up.



"Why.. How could he be able to.. I don't get it. But this Moon it's exactly the same as back then.. Which means we have to stop this before.."

She turns to Rol.



"We can't waste time. We need to find Mekheris (The necromancer pharaoh) and stop him. If we're lucky we can end this before they spread too far."

"Hey, hey, hey. Being crazy is my shtick, so while you run around looking for the methlab guy or whatever, I'll follow and you explain the situation so A. I get to be the crazy one again B. If you lose consciousness or get captured there's like, an idea of what to do. Yes? Yes."

Rol stretched and then loaded Pew and Pew with real bullets. He couldn't kill things, or wouldn't rather but making them redead was absolutely fine. He then sent Cole to relay the info to Deathy and IScott. Still not aware of the being in front of them.

"You don't remember?.. Wait how old are you again?" Reganya looked at rol, confused.


"You've heard about the second Undead apocalypse right? I was a little kid back then. It was during the end of the Magic/technology War. They say it came without warning but.. That's not entirely true." She paused.


"That Moon. The night it started that moon first appeared. I remember staring at it, thinking it was quite beautifull but.. It's nothing but pure horror. When the Undead disappeared so did this horrible moon. But now its back.. So that means..THEY are back too."


"I have a hunch that the guy we were after was the one to cause this. I have no Idea how he did it but.. We need to stop him. We can't risk a third undead apocalypse. Val might not survive this one."




Meanwhile Doomy looked at the figure in front of them. He stretched his arm to the side and summoned his Shadow scythe. "Looks like we've got company."

"Age? I dunno. been around long enough.. Or not since I don't recall this happening."

Rol stretched out his arms, Pew and Pew still in his hands. "Well, what say we put a stop to this shit then right?"

The bounty hunter yawned. "The methlab guy, might have done this but that can't be the only thing needed to make another undead apocalypse. otherwise there wouldn't have been need for the fucking group in the first place. But yeah. Stop this guy, right."

"We don't need no company, it looks all weird and scary, couldn't we just walk over and tell the thing ahead of us to go away and then some other we can fight him or maybe just go out for lunch ya know, why does it have to be fighting. Because if we fight I'm ditching you for sure, cause...... I don't do melee combat, I like shooting from afar.....so....BYE BYE!!!!" Scott yells out pushing doomy as hard as possible towards the humanoid thing and then rushes in to his dimension portal and closing it right after he enters so that nothing gets through.

"I feel kinda bad for Doomy he's all alone fighting that thing probably and I'm just here sitting down on a couch...... Ok, ok il watch him for a bit from my TV and then if he gets in danger il just open up a portal and shoot the thing."


Scott then turns on the TV witch is his way of watching his friends dimension with out anything getting to see him.

"The "group" was founded to find a way to do it peacefully. While retaining everyone's minds. Doing it this way only creates mindless monsters. Which is much more simple. We were inches away from knowing how to set off a normal undead apocalypse. It's possible he actually found that last missing clue we needed. But that was only supposed to be step one. Step 2 was finding a way to keep the undead's mind intact while still spreading at the same rate."


"Mekheris however never was much a fan of step two. He'd be happy to skip it. Then again so were most other members near the end. Which is why I left them. I wanted to stop everyone from dying and suffering, not turn them into mindless zombies." She sighed.


"Yeah, let's get the fucker." Reganya then ran towards Doomy and Scott to regroup. Only to see Scott dissapear into a private dimension.


Doomy was pushed aside. "Hey! What the hell you stupid robot! Don't leave me behind dammit!"


"Where did he go?" Reganya asked as she ran up to Doomy.
"The FUCKING COWARD decided fighting that thing *points at the being* was too scary so he ran!"
"What thing.." Reganya looked towards the figure that was standing there.
"Oh.. that thing.. "

Suddenly the figure broke its silence and groaned. It shambled towards the group very slowly. Coming close enough for the group to actually see it better.
It was a corpse, a completely dried up corpse. Its eyes were missing and its dark skin was slowly crumbling away as it got closer.


"A natural mummy. Just as I expected."


"Looks more like a crispy Zombie."

Rol nodded, listening to Reganya. Well kind of, He heard some of what she was saying, something about 1,2 skip a few. But perked up when he reached Deathy and saw a mummy thing. 

"Do I get to shoot things then? Or should I leave this to the to the undead specialists. You two. Deathy and reg.. reny... Ren? I'm gonna call you Ren kay? Deathy and Ren 5evr."


Rol looked around. "Where the hell is Scott?"

"The coward ran." Doomy grunted.


"Ren's fine. I don't really care." She paused and looked at the mummy that was slowly getting closer.


"It's just a mummy. Go wild Rol he's all yours."

"Ooh. Fun."

The bounty hunter got a little closer to the mummy before deciding what to do with it.

"Boom? Pew? Hmmmmmm." Considering his options, Rol put his hand on his chin. "Boom."

He threw out a mini explosive at the mummy hoping to blow it to smithereens.

The explosion blasted the mummy backward and his legs to the side. The impact cracked its dusty skull. It lay still on the ground motionless and legless.


"Well that was easier than expected. Lets get goin-"


"Groan"


"Its still alive? what the hell?"


"No, that came from somewhere else.."

Anther groan could be heard. And another, and another and another. The groans grew in volume and frequency. It came from all directions. Slowly figures started becoming visible as they shambled out of the shadows. Mummies, and a lot of them. They seemed to be drawn towards the source of the noise the explosion made.


"Are those?.."


"The towns people.. No wonder this place was so empty."


"Shit."

Doomy spun his scythe around ready to fight his way out of this. Reganya struck a battle pose.


"This is gonna get messy."

"Aww, that's cute. You guys have like matching battle poses." Rol chuckled. 

"I'll let the combat couple deal with this, you guys need the exp." Rol yawned and sat down.

"Shuddup rol"
"..."

Doomy charged towards the mummies and slashed at them with his scythe. Decapitating three of them. He twists around his scythe before extending it and decapitating five more mummies. One of them tries to grab him but he kicks it away before slicing it in half.

On the other side Reganya is having more problems. Mostly due to her lack of combat skills. She fires energy blasts at the mummies but her attacks aren't very effective. One of the mummies tries to bite her but she dodges by sinking into the ground and reappears behind it and stabs the undead bastard in the back of its neck.


"There's too many of them!"

Despite having taken out 5 mummies already the two of them do seem overwhelmed. Which isn't surprising since there are over fifty of these monsters.
A small group of them ignores Doomy and reganya and slowly make their way over to Rol.
