Humans are the most diverse race. As a Race they are a jack of all trades and can easily learn almost all classes theoretically. This diverseness also comes through in their culture and has sparked twice more wars among their own race than there have been in all the other races combined.
This caused them to become politically divided. Which is unique among the main races of Val. Some non-humans fear that humans if united would be an unstoppable threat. But nobody thinks that will ever happen.
They live in Centrea, the area around the mid-western Ocean of Val.

Dwarf:

skin color: pale white to light brown
hair color: any (brown,red,black are most common)

Dwarves have perfected the art of smithing weapons, armor and pretty much anything they can think of. With this technology they have been able to hold off all attacks by other races. Combined with the natural defences of the mountains and caves most races consider the dwarven territories to be impossible to take.
These days most dwarven income comes from the weapons and armor they sell all over Val. Aside from merchants most dwarfs don't travel outside their own territories. Although there are the exceptions that make the rule.
They live in the Northwestern Mountain ranges of Underhaven.

Wood elf:

The Wood elves are the original elves. It was them that mated with the Angels and Demons and gave birth to the high and dark elves respectively. They live together with the Faeries who taught them how to use magic.
They live in the Forest lands in between the high and dark elf territories. This was done so that the other two elven races would stop waging war. And it worked, for the most part.

High elves are the least diverse race on Val. Resulting from an union of the now extinct angels and not so extinct wood elves. They have the same values and skills as the Angels had. But less powerfull, the magic skills of the wood elves are still in their genes but far less practiced.
As a nation they have the tendency to remain as uninvolved with other races as possible. Although in individuals this greatly differs from those living in the big cities (who are xenophobic almost) to the small villages (who are really welcoming to all races). They are ruled by one King and one Queen and have been having a cold war with the Dark elves since forever. They live in the Kingdom of Hi'rhool.

The Dark Elves are the descendants of demons who mated with wood elves. Because of their connection with Demons most races tend to avoid the Dark elves. Because of this they've retreated into underground cities where they remain hidden. Because of their seclusion their culture is very different to most other races.
Because they worship the Goddess Ashera their women are considered closer to the perfection that is Ashera. This is why their entire culture is based around women worship and their males are forbidden from interfering in politics.
Strangely enough the dark elf men have never even attempted to start a revolution or tried to change their role as slaves. Sometimes a male is released from his slave position but 70 % of them return to slavery voluntarily. The other 30 % is shown to have a higher chance to become depressed and live less long than males who are in slavery. Nobody knows why.

Faerie/Sidhe:

The Faeries are the smallest race on Val. luckily for them they have a natural ability to use powerfull magic. It is said that a human has to practice and study magic for twenty years to become as powerfull at it as a Faerie that never practices.
Despite of their enormous magic power they are the most peacefull race on Val. They've never been in a war with any other race.
They live with the Wood elves and their cultures are so interwoven with them that there is almost no difference. They are however very protective of their home forest and will attack anyone who dares to damage it. Although they almost never use lethal force for this, its still very painfull. They call themselves Sidhe instead of faeries but only they know what their true name is.

Orc:

skin color: pale green to dark green
hair color: purple,black,red,blue,violet

Orcs are considered the dumbest race in Val. This is however only partly true. Most orcs do indeed prefer using their own strenght over their minds. But the ones that choose to study and learn are often very good students.
Smart orcs are very dangerous because there is no such thing as a weak orc. Even the few bookworm orcs can wipe the floor with most humans in hand to hand combat. Plus their intelligence makes them hard to outsmart in battle. Which ussually the best way to take out an orc. It is also very hard to tell their intelligence by their appearance. Some think they intentionally make themselves look dumb so their opponent underestimates them.
They live in the wildlands along side the goblins.

Goblins have a hate-love relationship with the Orcs that they live next to. They often go to war against the Orcs but when the war dies out they usually work closely together with them.
Goblins are the inventors of most of Vals machines. Including mech suits, robots , guns, ships, aircraft, etc.

The ancient race created by the God Eli himself to be his perfect warriors against asheras demons. Each Angel looks a lot alike. Each of them was made by Eli himself and they were unable to reproduce by themselves. Which is why they went extinct. Their blood however, still flows through the veins of the High elves and a handfull of humans.

The strongest demons that haven't been banished. They live in packs while roaming Val, they're incredibly rare. They have the ability to transform into any creature they've drank the blood of. Their real form is a 3 meter tall wolf with the same bloodred colored fur and black marks. They represent the sin of gluttony.

Succubi (female) and Incubi(male) have the ability to steal a persons soul energy.. Most of them do this by seducing their prey and having sex with them. Because of this most Half demons that are born are have a succubi/incubi as their demonic side's parent.
But some of them prefer a simple kiss. Which gives them less energy but it doesn't include the risk of pregnancy. They represent the Sin of Lust. (I based the design on Catherine from the game with the same name. By Atlus.)

Demons that are much like orcs but bigger stronger and duber. They have the horns of an ox and the teeth and claws of a tiger. They often raid small towns. They represent wrath.

The Jotunn or Frost Giants are the tallest race in Val. No seriously they're huge.
The only demon that can use all energies. But they alost never use them. Most of the time they don't need to anyway. They just use their size and strenght if they need to fight. They live in the coldest parts of Val. They represent Sloth.

Alterations

While I covered most of the races up there I didn't include the Undead and others. Mainly because Undeath is a state all races can be in. It isn't a race of its own. So I'll list the kinds of undead and other possible alterations here:
(skeleton,Zombie,Ghoul and wraith are too mindless to be included here. They're just monsters. The only exception is the Wraith king in necro but he was one of a kind.)

Mummy:


Magic: 4/5
PSI: 2/5
Ki: 1/5
Soul: 3/5
Tech: 2/5

Mummies are the Necromancers first attempt at eternal (un)life. They allow the necromancer to evade death but because they are designed to preserve their (un)life the mummy can no longer level up. In return however they can summon and command the elements of water,fire,earth and wind. They can also make and summon lesser mummy slaves. The only way a mummy can gain power is through magical objects.
Eventually their mind will crumble however. Most of them have found ways to temporarily stop that process.

Vampire:

Magic: 4/5

Vampires compared to the other undead have the advantage of keeping their mind mostly intact and not looking like a corpse. As long as they feed on the blood of the living that is. They also gain a weakness to sunlight and a slight OCPD.
The more blood they suck the more their power rises but if they go too long without feeding they shrivel up and risk dying.
They were created in an attempt by necromancers to mimic the ability of the blood wolves. Which resulted in most vampires being able to transform into animals.

Lich:

The lich was long considered to be a necromancers best chance of eternal (un)life. They will keep regenerating over time as long as their soul remains trapped inside their phylactery. Once their phylactery is broken they die. Which means they do their best to hide it as well as possible.
But the downside is that the process to become a lich is very dangerous. And horrifyingly painful. First the necromancer needs an item imbued with mana to serve as a phylactery. Followed by hours of chanting a spell which causes their own skeleton to claw its way out of its body. This also releases their soul which they have to capture inside their chosen phylactery. The soul however will try to fight back and may kill the lich. If this happens the soul will turn into a mindless wraith. With all the necromancers power but without the ability to control its actions.
Plus who the hell wants to look like a skeleton for the rest of eternity.

Soul reaper:

A very rare form of undead. The only known way to become one is to strike a deal with death herself. Soul reapers have full control over their own soul and can manipulate the souls of their fallen enemies. They also keep all of their abilities they had in life. However their body won't heal itself and any wounds they recieve will stay there forever. Unless they use magic to heal but even then the scars remain. They also look as pale as a corpse, because thats what they are.

Another attempt to recreate the power of the blood wolves. This time not by necromancers but normal mages. Their experiments failed and the test subjects could only transform into one type of animal and the transformation only worked 60% resulting in a hybrid like form of (insert race) and animal. Most of the time the transformation was uncontrolable and caused the user to lose their sense of self and turn into wild beasts. A bite from one of these beasts would spread the condition to its victim. Eventually some managed to learn how to control it but most still can't. They are not undead and can be killed by normal means they are however tough to fight.

Rol already has nightlanders so. Well kinda.
And considering some of the Cloudverses are Fear verses AND Val is a Cloudverse.. (No actuall Fears though.
Although a lot of characters in Val can be linked to a Fear in some way.
(Even though the Val characters existed before I knew about Fears. Its kinda weird really.)

Cat girls

I'll probably find a better name for them but for now I'll keep calling them cat girls.
I promised more info on them so here is a little history of Cat girls.

With their extinction lurking behind the corner some Angels got desperate and started breeding with other races. Which is, as you know, the origins of the high elves and angelic humans. But it didn't work.

The Angels were still going extinct so they got even more desperate and isolated themselves on their home Island and hid it from everyone else.
The Angels still kept dying of old age however. So they got even really desperate.
And with no other races to breed with.. They turned to the local wildlife.
Basically they got it on with animals. And thus the Cat girl race was born.
The Angels still died anyway. :c

The Cat girls (including the male ones but Cat girls sounds better than Cat people. Which would also be inaccurate because they're not all cats. So meh.)
Divided themselves in tribes and spread over the Island. Unaware that there was a world beyond the sea.
They worship the ancient Angels as gods and have made statues of them all over the Island. The tribes sometimes get into arguements but nothing that isn't resolved in a few days. They rarely kill each other. This is mostly a result of The Angels fear of extinction. Which is a fear that carried over to the Cat girls. Thus killing other cat girls is strictly forbidden by most tribes.

When two groups of cat girls differ in opinions they just simply split into two tribes. In one case this resulted in a true Female only tribe that goes around abducting men to get pregnant and then releases the men. (Yes Amazon cat girls! But unlike how amazons are ussually depicted these cat girls aren't bulky warriors. They are fierce hunters though. Then again most of the local wildlife isn't much of a challenge to hunt.)

They could steal men from other tribes.

Also, they should be more consider Beast People with individuals race names for each beast person. So the Nekomata, Naga/Lamia, Kitsune, ect can either be place holder till we have better ones, Alex or you make a new one word for them or just use Beast People.

Also, considering their isolation, what would their energies be for the RP?

Well thats what they do, they just don't keep them around. We already have a race of women that enslave men, the Dark elves.

That does sound best. I still need to ask Alex about the progress on languages.

Since they are descended from angels, I'd say angelic spirit energy mostly. I'm sure they can either use Mana a bit or eventually get used to technology and use those. (Once they're of the Island. I think their resources on the Island are too limited for any technology that wasn't used by angels.)

Well, that was WHY I was wondering, since they be holy animal people which I feel, since they live in tribes, will be primitive in technology BUT due to their beastal natures, work on different levels and have breakthroughs that escape our uses.

Also, it could be that of their Angelic energies being stronger than other kin races, technology doesn't work for them?

Last time I heard anything about them was months ago. And that was that there wasn't made any progress since the month before that. lol

Maybe they use their spirit energy to power ancient relics left behind by the angels. That can only work with Angelic spirit energy. In contrast to our technology that runs mostly on Mana. We'd have to think of certain breakthroughs they have that we don't..
