ChaoZ: A Royal pain in the elves.

Jex followed slowly, tossing a gem up and down from his right hand. He was getting quite tired from all the walking but he knew they weren't going to be able to rest until they got to that farm.

When Fluffy called out to alert them of the slimes, Jex grasped the gem tightly and put it back in his pocket. Tossing himself the Silver Staff, he twirled it around and got ready.

"We should probably try to stay away from any more danger."

"Yeah, I agree. We should sneak around them."

The group did exactly that and bypassed the slimes easily. They reached the bridge shortly after. The bridge seemed to be a bit run down but not in any danger of falling any time soon. However, when the light shone on the bridge it revealed a few strings running over the bridge, they were only visible for a split second.
Leaf walked towards the bridge seemingly not noticing the strings.

"Wasn't there like a gleam on the bridge a second ago?" Rol asked out loud.

The bounty hunter called out to Leaf. "Yo, you should be more cautious. What if there's monser waiting to ambush the bride? Like a troll, or three goats?"

Jex scanned the bridge. Just as he was about to deem it safe, the strings flashed before him.

"Leaf!"

He yelled, whipping his staff forward, sending out the wisp of magic to try and grab Leaf to pull her away from the bridge.

Leaf was yanked back by Jex's magic wisp. "HUH?!" The wood elf exclaimed in confusion.
Her foot got caught in a string which snapped as she was pulled back.
Leaf was whisked away just in time before the bridge exploded.

Debris flew everywhere, Fluffy almost got hit by a piece of wood as it flew by him.
"Aaah!" Leaf fell on the ground, partly from being pulled away suddenly and partly due to the shockwave.
The bridge was destroyed and parts of wood floated away on the river below.

In one smooth motion, Jex waved his staff as he whisked Leaf backwards and released a tiny wave of magic from himself, pushing back any debris that may have caused a nuisance to the group. He sighed.

"Any other ideas?"


He inspected the water. He could try freezing a path on the surface but it would take quite a bit of concentration and magic. He was not sure if there was anything that might jump at them and interrupt it from the water. Neither was he sure he would get much further if he ran out of energy.

"I'd say we go over the bridge since I can shadow. But considering the fact there were traps, maybe finding another way around..?"

The bounty hunter wasn't overly concerned about not being able to go over the bridge, but the explosives tweaked his interest.

Leaf jumped back on her feet and dusted herself off.

"No, the nearest other bridge is miles away. It'd take ages to get there and we would be even further away from the farm." Leaf pondered for a moment.
"Oh! We could have fluffy fly us to the other side one by one. Manticores are strong so fluffy would be able to get us over there quickly."

Jex threw his Staff forward and jumped on it.


"I can take a passenger but it'll be hard to balance with two people."

He looked at Leaf and then at Rol.

"Leaf first, I'll fly with them then stay with her at the other side. Rol can manage by himself for a bit."

(lol, Jex do you even read the other posts?)

(I think he did read and meant he'd fly along with Fluffy as he carried leaf over. Although I had to read twice before I got that. lol.)


"Okay." Leaf nodded and sgnaled for fluffy to come down.
Fluffy soon landed next to the group and Leaf climbed on his back. She held on to his neck, avoiding the poison spikes on his head. "Alright, go boy."
Fluffy then started running towards the river and leapt up at the waters edge. Flying upward quickly and headed to the other side of the River.
With Jex flying alonside them.

It didn't take them long to get to the other side. Fluffy softly landed and Leaf hopped off. "Yay that was fun!" She petted fluffy before sending him back to pick up Rol.
Leaf waved at Rol who could barey be seen in the distance.
On the ground next to leaf was a random shoe laying in the grass.

Rol also manages to get on Fluffy without killing himself and they both find there way over to the other side. 

"Flying man, not my forte.."

(Thought it was given from the them. What ever, Ken got it.)

Jex waited and looked at the shoe.

"What kind of person just forgets one shoe..."

He walked over and kicked it to the side.

"Where to?"

(nah man, I just read the thing about your staff wrong)

The shoe shrieked and scittered away on tiny legs.
"Well we took a small detour so I guess we follow the river back to the road and then keep going? We should arrive soon. The farm is not that far away from the river. I remember last time I visited the farm we went swimming in the river, a calmer part of the river obviously. We found this ball of yarn and..."
Leaf trailed into a random rant again as she started walking.

Fluffy flies up again and flew over the river hunting for fish.

After walking for a while they reached the road again. They could see the farm in the distance. Fluffy cried out. Something was moving towards the group but nobody could see what it was.

Jex gazed at the glistening river as they walked by it. Who had rigged the bridge with explosions, he wondered. There was no way it had been always laced with that, according to Leaf's lack of knowledge of such a trap. He doubted it would've been the Prince either since the method seemed somewhat lackluster.

"Well, here we go."

He mumbled as he stepped back on the road. When Fluffy cried, Jex nodded, thinking it must have been of triumph as their destination was in view.

"Man, that living shoe thing is nicer than my shoe." Rol sighed, walking behind the others.

After hearing Fluffy cry out, Rol asked. "What is it bud? Timmy fell down the well again?"

Fluffy cried out again. But then he lost sight of whatever it was. He tried to find it again and circled the area but whatever it was appeared to have vanished. Fluffy gave up and landed, looking around nervously.

By the time they reached the farm fluffy had already calmed down. A young woman stood at the entrance of the farm. Leaf jumped up and ran towards the woman excitedly."Melons!" She exclaimed loudly before hugging the woman tightly.
The woman had brown hair and eyes of a matching color. She was wearing a dress that was almost the same color as her hair but lighter. Probably a dress for working on the farm. Her boots were also brownish and suited for farm work.
"Hey hey, Leaf don't call me that in front of strangers, please." The woman said, obviously embarassed. It was also obvious why Leaf called her that. Even under her large dress her 'melons' were very noticable thanks to their size.
"Oh right, sorry melon-Melope."
"That's better." The woman smiled.
She then turned to Jex and Rol."Welcome to my farm."

"Hiya. Do you have any enemies with knowledge of explosives?" The bounty hunter asked Melope, trying to find out information about the rigged bridge. Not supplying context of course, context is for losers.

"Also, why does she call you Melons? Do you farm them? Are they delicious." Rol asked, curiously. Yeah, let's just pretend there's some logic in this dialogue progression.

Jex looked at Rol as he questioned the farm worker. At least Rol had his priorities straight and asked the questions from most important to least. He couldn't help but stare at the girl.

"Hello. Jex Cahill, this is my colleague, Roltharus."

He held out his hand to shake hers.

"Leaf told us you were a close friend."

(This does not remind me of Corruption of Champions.)

(I had no idea what that was so I googled it. I seriously regret doing that. But yeah, it really is completely different from this RP. Of course this doesn't remind you of it. I just pointed out obvious melons. Nobody has been robbed of their anal virginity in this RP yet.)


"Explosives? Then that loud sound earlier.. Oh my. Nobody got hurt I hope?"
"No, these guys saved me just in time!" Leaf answered enthousiastically. "Hmm, could it have been the Mahgi brothers? They've been trying to ruin your bussiness for years."
"But to blow up the bridge.. Would they go that far?"
"Maybe they're getting desperate but if you had crossed that bridge then.. Were they trying to kill you?" Leaf looked horrified.
"...I.." Melope was at a loss for words.

The two girls were snapped out of silence by Rol's second question. "What? No.."
"I call her melons because of these." Leaf pointed up at the 'melons'.
"Leaf!"
"Well they asked.."
Melope sighed.


"Oh right. Nice to meet you gentlemen." She shook Jex's hand gently.
"Yes, I've known Leaf from back when she first moved to the elven kingdom."
"Yeah, we go way back. Melons.. I mean Melope, was the first friendly person I met here. She's only half high elf so she's less xenophobic than the others.. Yay, I said it right this time!"

Fluffy meanwhile yawned. He seemed rather bored.

"Mahgi brothers? Are they other farmers? Business people who want your land?" Rol asked a serious of questions, although fairly quietly as he was distracted by Fluffy's boredom.

"Well, while I am disappointed in a lack of delicious melons, there is something more important to address. My manticore's booooooooorrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeddddddddd."

(Scratch that. I now know why you were reminded of it. The farm and the big breasted farm lady. Luckily Melope won't ask you to releave her of her milk.
And no I do not know this because I played the game. Why would you even think that I'm lv 19 on it with a harem of over 7 girls, don't be silly.)

Jex nodded and looked around. He listened carefully at everything Melope had said about the bombing. It seems that people were disturbing the peace. As much as he knew they needed to hurry up and get to the temple, however,

"We'll scare them off."

He wasn't exactly sure what or who these Maghi people were but endangering the life of a worker who produced food for herself and nearby towns was unacceptable behavior. Especially if the worker was an elegant of a lady as her.

(Where are you stuck? Not that it matters, I don't play it so I wouldn't know anything about it.. Ah screw it. I play this horrible yet fun game and am probably addicted.(It's really well written and once you get to a certain point you can easily prevent unwanted sexual assault so it gets less horrible). I can probably help you but I guess another thread should be made? Too bad we don't have an nsfw section yet.)


"Yes, they are other farmers. They used to be just another farm that competed against my fathers farm. They were never the type to play fair but ever since their older brother vanished they've been getting more aggressive. But they've never gone this far."
"I heard they do some illegal stuff on their farm too. Growing illegal crops, stealing animals and stuff."
"Aren't those just rumors?"
"No, One of them was arrested for stealing but got bailed out by the other brother. Either way, SOMEONE blew up that bridge. It can't hurt to investigate, right?"
"I guess."

The two girls were surprised by Jex's offer. "You would do that? Thank you, you're very kind." "Yeah, thank you! I mean even if they end up not being the ones who did it they still are a pain in the ass. "
Melope then gave directions to the Maghi farm. And pointed it out on the old map Jex has.



"Uh, I'm not quite sure what to do about a bored manticore."
"Give him a ball of yarn?"
"Does that work?"
"I dunno, they're felines right?"
