First off Boy or girl? (To make it faster You might want to start discussing your name too.)


I'll post some guidelines and info about how the game will go.


Guidelines


  1. It will be primarily based on Yellow version and The remakes of gen I
  2. You might see some Persona influences. Mostly because those games are my new obsession.
  3. I will make a Picture like the one in the first post for all the 'cutscenes'.
  4. The basics of pokemon combat are the same as the games.(4 moves, elemental rock paper scicors, etc.)
  5. There will be another protagonist however.
  6. So together the two will be able to hold 12 pokemon.
  7. If One of the two's full six member party all have fainted it's game over.
  8. The two trainers can trade freely in between battles.
  9. The difficulty will be harder than the real pokemon games.
  10. The final boss will be lv 100
  11. Due to there being far less NPC's to battle and lack of chances to grind (since who wants to grind in a forum rp) Your pokemon will be underleveled.
  12. I will make a map to make it easier to see where you are.
  13. Trainers give money when defeated.
  14. Wild pokemon give "Mysterious shards" when captured. These are valuable items.
  15. Mysterious shards are blank TM's. They can teach a pokemon any TM it can learn in the real games. (Check bulbapedia for those lists)
  16. The amount of pokemon available will be limited due to there being too fricken many of them to include in a forum RP.
  17. Some Pokemon can only be encountered once. Catching them while you can is advised.(You'll get a warning when encountering these.)
  18. Encountering Groups of pokemon will be normal.
  19. You can't throw pokeballs at groups of pokemon. One of them will deflect it to protect the others. Knock out all but one of them and then you can try capturing it.
  20. Against groups both protagonists will send out one pokemon of their party. (Unless they aren't near each other.)
  21. Fairy type exists in this RP.
  22. There will be areas that are not in the games. 
  23. HM's are passive skills and can be used by any pokemon that should be able to do the action (Water pokemon using surf to swim and charizard being able to fly)
  24. To use the HM's in actual combat you'll need to teach them to your pokemon like normal TM's.
  25. Instead of grinding you can train one pokemon each time you enter a town.(Unless You used fly to get there.)
  26. Training your pokemon increases your bond with it and its level. (Persona influence here lol)
  27. Eevee will evolve into Umbreon,espeon or sylveon when its bond is maxed. (This also counts for other pokemon that evolve this way.)
  28. The amount of levels a pokemon gains from training depends on how close they are in level to your strongest pokemon. The farther away, the more levels are gained.
  29. When you enter a pokemon center your pokemon are healed instantly and your progress is saved. This is the only way to save.
  30. Zubats are annoying.

As soon as you two decide on a gender and a name I will start this. Hopefully a third person joins soon.


If you have trouble choosing a name here is a list of default names like they give you in the real games. You can still choose something else entirely.


Male:


  • Hash (Because Hash brown hurrhurr. Pun on Ash is purely unintentional and I only noticed it after I wrote it down.)
  • Steve (first random name I could think of)
  • Yu (because I'm still obsessed with persona)
  • Minato (Same as above but P3)


Female:


  • Hashina (Please don't choose this one.. it's lame..)
  • Catherine (Not persona but still from an Atlus game ._.)
