Bruce dashes towards his opponent.
The voltorb charges up and releases a sonic boom. Bruce jumps completely over the shockwave.

He tries to strike from above but the voltorb rolls to the side. Blasting another sonic boom at Bruce. This time Bruce doesn't have time to react and is hit directly. The shockwave sends him tumbling over the ground.

He gets back up quickly and goes for another karate chop. The voltorb rolls back to avoid the hit but Bruce manages to hit anyway. But it wasn't a full hit.

The voltorb gets as angry as its trainer and begins to glow. Bruce looks up in surprise and tries to jump away but he's too late and the voltorb self destructs. The explosion hits bruce head on and he crashes into the wall. Bruce is knocked out.

But so is the voltorb.

You win!

Bruce still gets the exp from the magnemite earlier and levels up.

Bruce can now learn Focus energy. Do you want to teach it? (Probably not but I figure I should ask anyway.)

The trainer also explodes runs away. Leaving behind the money you won and a potion.

This area seems to be empty. The other person is standing behind the rock and you can see an item lying past them. You can probably sneak past them by going around the other side of the rock, if you want. Or you can go talk to/fight them.
Or you can go back and see what's down the ladder. Or see where that opening in the wall to the north leads. (It opens to another part of the cave, not to the outside.)

You go around and talk the the trainer. He seemed to be resting with a bug net in his hands but jumps up when he sees you.

"Battle?!" He asks excitedly.

When you agree he drops the bug net and sends out a butterfree.

(Normally he would have three pokemon but to save time I'm limiting it to one pokemon with some extra levels.)

The moment you send out kiro he flies through the air with sparking cheeks. Unleashing a thunderbolt on the butterfree before it can even respond. It's super effective!

The butterfree falls to the ground at the same time as Kiro lands on his paws. Kiro looks back ready to fight but the butterfree is not getting up. You win.

Kiro levels up!

"Wait.. what happened?" The trainer asks dumbfounded.

Mii raises her eyebrow. "Wow, that was over scarily fast."

You get 280 pkd.

You look around and se the item you saw earlier laying on the floor close by. There also appears to be another tunnel around the corner to the east. But you can't see where it leads from here.
For a moment you think you heard sounds coming from back where the ladder was. You couldn't tell what it was.

What now?

You grab the item. It's a rare candy. Use it now or later?
Also what next?

You give the rare candy to Az. She eats it and burps out a flame. She levels up! Wat nao?

>Take a peak

You peek around the corner. You see a long tunnel ahead going north. It's mostly empty aside from another item on the floor not too far from you. You hear another muffled sound coming back from the direction of the ladder.

>item then check the ladder

You pick up an escape rope. You are not sure how it works but you know it will be able to return you to the dungeon entrance somehow if you use it. (Really how does it work? It's just a rope but it teleports you? Gotta love those game mechanics.) You now have two.

You turn back to the ladder. You hear the sound again. Looking down you can't see anything. You are forced to go down the ladder to see what is down there. Once down there all you see is a small tunnel. You have to bend down to avoid hitting the ceiling. The sound seems to be coming from further down.

At the end of the tunnel is another ladder that goes down. You can hear it more clearly now, it seems to be someone yelling. You overhear the words "team rocket" followed by some other stuff you can't understand. Something about fossils and cupcakes?

Whoever is yelling seems angry. Suddenly you hear "Who's sneaking around up there?!" You don't think fighting in this cramped tunnel is going to be a good idea. What do?

You stay silent and watch the hole. It doesn't take long before someone's head pops up. You notice the black cap with a red R on their head. And he sees you. "Just a couple of brats?! Scram before I am forced to hurt ya!" He yells. Threatening you with a pokeball and sending out a Sandshrew. (Lv 25)

You send out Psyche.
She unleashes a wave of confusion. The Sandshrew manages to curl up and soften the blow slightly. But it was still a full hit.

The Sandshrew stays curled up and starts rolling in one place. Causing sand to fly everywhere and hit Psyche in her eyes, reducing her accuracy.

One month later the battle ends when the Team Rocket grunt dies of starvation.

Psyche unleashes another wave of confusion. This time scoring a critical hit! The Sandshrew bounces around and gets badly hurt. But an angry look from its trainer gives it the will to keep fighting.

The sandshrew stings Psyche with a poisoned claw. It doesn't hurt her much but it does poison her. She takes damage from the poison.

She then unleashes a last confusion wave, knocking the sandshrew out.

The team rocket grunt sends out a rattata.

Psyche unleashes another wave of confusion. It knocks the rattata back but it lands on its feet. The attack hurt though.


The rattata tries to bite with hyper fang but misses.

Psyche is hurt by the poison.

Psyche flanks the rattata. The ratta manages to escape the flank but gets hit by the following wave of confusion anyway. Despite heavy damage it remains standing.

Another hyper fang misses too.

Psyche tries to finish it off with another confusion but the pain from the poison messes with her aim. She misses and takes poison damage.

The rattata takes this chance and tries to hyper fang again. But Psyche dodges it.

This time the rattata can't escape the flank and is hit dead on. Its paws are not strong enough for it to keep supporting its weight and it tumbles over.

The team rocket grunt grunts and sends out his last pokemon, Golbat.

Psyche unleashes another wave of confusion. The golbat dodges it. Psyche is hurt by the poison.

The Golbat shines an eery light upon Psyche. But Psyche looks away and flies around. The Golbat tries to follow her but ends up shining the light in his own trainers eyes. Causing the team rocet grunt to become confused. "Huh? Where am I?" He says before falling off the ladder.

This gives Psyche a chance to unleash another Wave of confusion. It's super effective.

Psyche is hurt by the poison still.

With his abusive trainer gone the Golbat takes his chance and flies away to freedom.

Psyche Levels up!

When you go down the ladder you see no trace of the Rocket grunt. Aside from some money and an item he seemed to have dropped. You pick up both. You get another rare candy! (Normally it's an HP up but with how I handle stats it would make things too complicated (for me) to have those items.)(Also due to the same reasons rare candies don't have the draw backs they have in the real games. And they'll probably also be less rare.. which ruins the name kinda.. <.< "Not-so-rare candy" doesn't have the same ring to it.)

You look around the room, it's empty. You have no idea how the Rocket got out because there don't seem to be any exits aside from where you came in. There are signs of pokemon digging around in here. It seems the rocket grunt was making his sandshrew dig around for fossils. He doesn't seem to have found any.

"It seems like a dead end, we should head back. Probably should use an antidote on Psyche first though. She could also use a potion." Shelly comments.

"Wait. If it's a dead end how did that asshole leave? Maybe there's a hidden door or something." Mii says.

You give the rare candy to lucy. She levels up.
You then give an antidote to Psyche. She relaxes now that the pain is gone.

You take a closer look around the room. You don't seem to see anything out of the ordinary.

"Look there!" Both girls say at the same time. You look to the place they are pointing. A part of the wall seems to be a slightly different color than the rest of the room. You head over to investigate.

When you put your hand against it it gives in and opens. You found a secret door!
Behind it is a set of stairs that go even deeper down. It's slightly dark but it's not too bad, you can still see relativaly well.

You look to the girls, they nod. You head down the stairs carefuly. At the bottom you find yourself in another tunnel. This one seems to have been man made. Several wooden beams seem to be holding up the tunnel. There are also a bunch of crates ahead of you. Each one marked with a big red R.

You hear a door closing in the distance ahead of you. The one behind you is still open.
"You think that was that creepy rocket guy?" Shelly asks.
"Probably." Mii answers.

What do?

You check out the crates, there seem to be six of them. After some effort you manage to open one of them. It is filled with Explosives.

"Holy fuck!" Mii exclaims.

"Those are enough explosives to take down a building..."

"Or a cave, like the one we're in now."

"We should tell the police about this."

"Whatever you do, don't set those off accidentally. Or on purpose. It'd kill us all."

You nod and check out the next crate. And find only scraps and useless things.

"Well at least it isn't more explosives." Mii comments.

You open the others. There are two more with scraps and stuff. But then fifth one holds a few potions and pokeballs. It seems to have held more at one point but it must have been used up.

"Maybe we should leave it-" Shelly starts to say. But is interupted by Mii.

"Fuck that. Stealing from Team rocket is a good deed. Take as much as you can carry."

You find 3 potions, 1 super potion and 3 pokeballs.

"I'm pretty sure we can carry all of it."

"I stand by what I said. We take all of it."

"..." Shelly sighs.

You then move on to the last crate. You hit the motherload here. (Rolled a 100. I wasn't counting on that.. I was just gonna give a moonstone or three if you rolled high. I did have another idea but decided against it until I saw that 100. lol)

Inside you see 4 moonstones and a larger rock. On closer inspection you see it's actually a fossil of an extinct pokemon. Not something Team rocket should get their hands on. You take it.

(I'm not sure which fossil pokemon it should be. So I'll let you choose. You'll get the three Gen 1 fossils anyway later so choose one of the later generations. Of course you won't get the pokemon itself until Cinnabar Island.)

You close the lid again and head further into the tunnel. Ahead you see a giant mushroom. It starts moving as you get closer. It's a parasect!
It summons three paras and attacks.

You send out Lucy and Kiro.

Kiro hops on Lucifers back just before she dives towards the paras. She twists to the side and slashes though all three of them diagonally.

As soon as her attack hits Kiro jumps up into the air and launches a thunderbolt at the ground.

When the dust settles Kiro and Lucy are standing back to back behind the fallen bugs. You win. Lucy levels up!
Kiro gains exp.


You head further into the tunnel, eventually reaching the end. You her sounds coming from beyond the door in front of you. It seems to be two people talking. You can't make out what they are saying.

You charge in and find the rocket you defeated talking to another grunt. They are shocked to see you. The first rocket yells. "It's them!" He still seems somewhat dazed from your fight earlier.

The second rocket sends out a zubat.

You go up the ladder. It leads up into another cramped tunnel. You follow the tunnel until you reach another ladder. You up that one too. Once you get to the top you are spotted by a trainer.

Your eyes meet and she readies her pokeball. Without a word you ready yours too. She sends out a Bellsprout.

You Send out Lucy. She dives towards the bellsprout. It tries to dodge but gets hit by lucy's wing and gets knocked out.

The trainer is about to send out another pokemon but realizes she can't win. She gives up.
You get 600 pkd.

You are now in an open area in the cave. You see a man at the other side of the room. He seems to be standing near another ladder that goes down. Behind him you see a shiny rock.

"Is that a moonstone?" Shelly asks.

You can also turn around and go into a tunnel behind you. But you can't see where it leads.

>Talk to the man

You approach the man. He greets you with a hearty laugh and asks if you would like to have a pokemon fight. He sends out a geodude before you can answer.

>uhm crystal. with crystal throw

You send out Crystal.

She flings crystals at the geodude. It throws itself to the left and dodges.
 It then curls up, increasing its defense.

>literally rinse in repeat until a faint a switch or a death

Crystal throws the first crystal this time she hits but it doesn't seem to be very effective. The geodude again curls up in defense.
This is repeated once more.

Now that the trainer is satisfied with his geodude's defense the fight turns into a rock/crystal throwing barrage from both sides. You, Mii and Shelly have to hide behind a rock to avoid being hit by the flying minerals. The other trainer is hiding as well.

The geodude's rock hard defense allows it to shrug off most of the crystals. Crystal is less lucky. She does however get one critical hit in. And severely damages the geodude.

But a few throws later the geodude gets a critical hit of its own. Crystal is thrown off balance. She misses her next throw and leaves herself wide open. The geodude finishes it off with a rock aimed straight at her eye. Another crit!

Crystal is knocked out.

You emerge from behind the rock and Mii calls her back. Who will you send out next?

You send out Rol.

He quickly dashes over to the geodude and pretends to attack. The geodude falls for it but then realizes its mistake. It tries to block but is too late and the real attack nearly knocks out the geodude.

It however manages to hold on. With it's health at the brink its trainer orders it to self destruct. The geodude hesitates for a moment but then does as told. The explosion shakes the ground.

Rol falls from the sky but lands safely on his paws. That moment of hesitation was enough for him to react and avoidthe full blast. He gets away with a few bruises and can still fight.

The trainer calls back his geodude and sends out an onix. It roars.

Rol jumps up towards the onix pretending to go for a tackle. The Onix dodges the tackle but Rol grabs on to its horn and swings himself around in mid-air. He then uses the momentum to kick its head. It hurts the Onix.

Rol then jumps off and lands back on the ground. The Onix throws a rock but misses Rol by a few inches.

"Don't let those Rocks hit you!" Mii Yells to Rol. Knowing that If a rock hits it would be super effective against Rol. Rol nods.
