Pokemon Hash brown version

You decide to risk it. You open it.
And you immediatly close it again after seeing the names of the videos inside.
No luck, at least this time you were spared from actually seeing it. (bad dice roll, but not  low enough for more eye damage.)

This was a total waste of time, you should head back before Shelly gets suspicious. You log off and grab the clothes you picked out. At least you'll get to see Shelly wear this. That should heal your eyes.

You head back out into the grass. A wild pidgey appears. (lv5) What do?

Kiro takes out the pidgey in one hit. He earns a small amount of exp. You don't encounter anymore pokemon.

You arrive at the Pokemon center, shelly seems to have dozed off on the couch while waiting for you. Wake her up?

You wake her up.
"Huh? Oh, Yu. Sorry, I fell asleep while waiting. You got my clothes?"
You nod and take her clothes out of your backpack. You hand them to her.
"Thanks!" She smiles and gets up but when she looks at the clothes she hesitates.
"These are.. Yu!" She turns to you yelling. "I can't wear these together! Not without a vest or stockings. With just these.. They're too revealing! How can you not see that? ugh men.. "
You feel unsafe. Maybe you should offer to go back for other clothes.
"Wait..You picked these on purpose didn't you?" She glares at you.
You fear this might be game over.

"Hmm, I'd like that but getting to pewter city should be our priority. Going back would take too much time and we might not get through the forest by nightfall.
I can't stay mad at you anyway. I'll wear this but next time you have money you're buying me some clothes."
You nod, you're getting of easy here, you feel slightly more safe now.
"I'll go put these on so we can go to the forest, I'll be right back." She walks off into the women's room with the clothes.

You sit down and wait for her to come back out. However,..
You notice the door didn't close completely. It'd be bad if some guy saw her changing.
Or good, if that guy was you..

You go and close the door. However before you can say anything you catch a glimpse of inside.

You quickly say you're closing the door and do just that. Hoping she didn't see you looking.
You go and sit back down.

A short while later Shelly comes back out wearing the clothes you brought.
"Okay, I'm ready." She smiles.
You both grab your things and head out to the forest.
However before you get there you are attacked by two lv 10 Mankeys.

Lucy's Peck is super effective The Mankey barely manages to stay up.
Bruce's Scratch does medium damage to the other mankey.
The two Mankey retaliate with Scratch. The first one hits Lucy directly and does a bit of damage.
The other Mankey gets a critical hit in on Bruce but he defends himself well And Stands his ground.

Lucy swoops down from up high and lands a critical hit, it's super effective!
Bruce jumps on the other one. It defends itself but its health is too low.
Both of the mankey faint.
Lucy and Bruce lv up to lv 14.

Outside of the Forest entrance you are stopped by an old man with a cane. "Hey, you two youngsters! Yeah you! This forest is too dangerous for you, I can't let you pass here. Unless you prove that you have what it takes to face the dangers inside! Fight me!" He yells at you and pulls a pokeball out of his pocket.

Before you can react a young short haired girl comes running towards you. "Grandpa! We've told you over and over to stop harrassing travelers!" She turns to you. "I'm terribly sorry for this, please forgive my grandfather. He gets like this if he hasn't had his coffee."
"Oh, it's okay." Shelly reassures the girl.

"But I was just making sure they can handle the viridian forest's dangers. If they get hurt inside it would be bad. The forest isn't as safe as it used to be in my day!"
"Grandpa, you ran out of pokemon in the last battle. You can't fight them anyway."
"Last battle? Oh yes.. That girl..she just burnt through all six of my pokemon."
"What did you expect? You only use weedle. And she used a fire type bugs are weak to that you know."
"But.. They're strong weedle! And my Kakuna isn't afraid of a little fire!"
"Is that why it tried running away, grandpa? Anyway, you need to go heal your pokemon. I'll make your coffee while you go to the pokemon center, okay?"

She turned back to you. "Again I must apologize for holding you up, you can go on now."
"But.. Hey! If you two wait here I'll be right back with my pokemon! You really shouldn't go on. The forest is a dangerous place these days."
"He's exaggerating, you don't have to wait."

The girl dragged her grandpa away.

"You sure we should wait? If we don't get through the forest before sundown.."
You tell her it would be disrespectfull not to wait for the elder man.
"That's true but still. Being in the forest at night would be bad. what if another spider thing attacks?.. I really don't want to go through that again."
Despite her worries Shelly waits on the old man with you.

After ten minutes of waiting the old man still hasn't returned. You and Shelly talk for a bit to pass the time. "Hey, you think that girl with the fire pokemon they mentioned was the same one we fought? If it was then that means she's already ahead of us. I don't remember seeing her in the pokemon center though. Maybe I was still too shocked by yesterdays events and just didn't notice her."

Half an hour later the old man returns. "Oh! You actually waited! You really didn't have to.. Like my granddaughter said, I get weird when I haven't had my coffee. I must apologize for yelling at you earlier. If you still want we can battle now, my pokemon are back in top shape!" You nod and The old man sends out his first weedle.

Lucy Flies up and swoops down and Pecks the weedle, it's super effective. The weedle faints. The old man gasps but then sends out another weedle.
Lucy gained some exp.

Lucy Flies up again and swoops down. The Weedle tries to dodge it but Lucy is too fast. It's super effective! The second weedle faints. The old man grunts and sends out the third. Lucy gained some more exp.

Lucy Flies up again and swoops down. You shout an encouragment but it distracts lucy. The weedle manages to avoid a direct hit but not completely. It's super effective!
The old man tells the weedle to use poison sting, Lucy goes up to dodge the attack and it only grazes her. She gets poisoned, the poison lowers her health a bit. (Bad rolls for everyone. o.O)

Lucy flies up high, circles around and dives down towards the Weedle. You shout an encouragement. The weedle tries to defend itself but Lucy breaks through, pecks the weedle making fly up into the air. Lucy flies so fast she's able to catch up to it and scratch it with her claws multiple times before the weedle hits the ground. The weedle had fainted about half way through the attack. Lucy gains exp and style points. You have no idea what the style points are for though.
She loses a bit of health due to the poison.
The old man sends out the fourth weedle.

Lucy flaps her wings and goes straight for the attack. The weedle does the same with its poisonous sting. The two pokemon cross each other at the same time.
They land back to back. The weedle stands for a while but the peck was super effective so it faints. But it's poison sting hit Lucy bad. However she's strong enough to stay in the fight. She gained some exp.
The poison hurts her.
The old man sends out the fifth weedle.

You return Lucy to her ball. As soon as Kiro comes out of his ball he rushes over to the weedle and hits it hard. The weedle reacts too slowly and is knocked out. Kiro gains exp.
The old man is shocked (not litteraly, kiro is not that cruel) and sends out his last pokemon, Kakuna.

Kiro goes in for another quick attack. The Kakuna tries to defend itself with harden but Kiro is too fast. He deals medium damage. The kakuna's defense increases greatly after it finishes it's harden 'attack'.

Kiro unleashes an electric shock upon the kakuna it's harden does not protect it.
It faints. Kiro gains exp, you win .
The old man gives you 1000 pkd because old people are generous.

"Don't worry about it. That's jus how pokemon battles go. At least now I don't have to worry about you when you go in there. ..Still, be carefull. The fog is returning, I wouldn't stay in there longer than you need." The old man smiled and headed back to the pokemon center again.

"Fog? Does he mean the fog from that story the guy at the pokemart told us about?"
Shelly asks. You shrug it off, fog happens.
You head to the forest after healing up lucy.


When you arrive at the small forest gate you see that the old man was right. A low fog fills the forest, however it doesn't reach far beyond the gate. You didn't know that fog could be limited to a small area like that. Luckily the trees of the forest aren't that dense. You should still be able to see enough to pass through safely. At least you hope.

"That's kinda creepy.. the old man was right. We shouldn't stay in there for too long. If the fog is still there when the sun sets.."
You nod. The darkness of night combined with the trees and the fog would make traveling through this place nearly impossible. Luckily it's only noon so you have plenty of time.

You head inside. The small gate creaks as you open it. Clearly needs to be oiled up more. You look at shelly, maybe she should be oiled up too.. wait thisn't the time for such thoughts. Besides she doesn't creak..

The fog isn't that bad. You can see ahead clearly enough to proceed without danger.
To your right the fog does seem to get denser, to your left it's less dense but there seems to be more tall grass. Ahead of you you can make out what appears to be a line of trees. Might be a dead end? You're not sure. Then again either path could lead to a dead end anyway. But at least one of them will be right.

ALSO HOLD BED WARMERS HAND OR SOME SHIT. SO SHE DON'T GET LOST.

Shelly blushes and smiles when you hold her hand. You smile back and rush into the fog. As you run the fog grows denser around you. You can still see but not very far. But suddenly Shelly yanks at you and yells." Stop holding my hand in caps lock! It hurts."
Oops.
You come to a halt and soften your grip on her hand.
Just in time too, in front of you is a patch of grass, you can't see how far it goes on. However the path continues to your left.

You carefully head into the grass. You search for items in the grass while keeping an eye on the path behind you.
You find a potion!
You see that this is a dead end so you turn back to the path. Luckily you can still see where it is.
Suddenly a wild metapod! (lv 9)

HORN ATTACK.


You Send out Nidowin, he rushes towards the metapod and strikes it with his horn. But the Metapod had already hardened itself. The horn attack only grazes the metapod lightly.(Rolled a bad roll there )
It uses harden again, increasing it's defense more.

Nidowin uses leer, the metapod is scared into lowering it's defense. The metapod tries to tackle nidowin but he dodges easily. He then tackles the metapod when it's not looking but Nidowin misses too.
The metapod goes for another tackle but Nidowin evades it easily again. Nidowin then goes for a double kick but he only grazes the metapod again and his second kick doesn't connect at all.
The metapod uses harden and increases it's defense again.(The grazing does some damage btw but only like 5-10 %)
(You wouldn't believe the amount of bad rolls that happened here.)

Nidowin Leers at the metapod and lowers it defense again.^{(+2(-1) def)}
It uses string shot and lowers Nidowins speed by tangling him in string. ^{(-1 spd)}
Nidowin goes in for another double kick, the first kick barely connects because the metapod dodges backwards. But somehow the metapod slips and the second hit connects, damaging the metapod (finally).
The metapod retaliates with a tackle but Nidowin counters it with a horn attack and sends the metapod flying.

Shelly is right, the metapod is slowly rolling away. You wouldn't describe it as escaping though..
You must save your rioting for later. You catch up to the metapod. (He didn't even make it out of the grass.) And block it's exit. Nidowin uses leer and lowers its defense. Bringing it back to normal. ^(+1(-1)def)
The metapod used harden and buffed up it's defense again.^{(+1 def)}
Nidowin goes for the double kick. The first hit connects and deals some damage the second one only grazes the metapod.
The metapod shoots string at Nidowin, entangling him more and slowing him down.^(-1(-1)spd)
The metapod then outspeeds Nidowin and tries to escape.(Again, he doesn't get anywere.)
Nidowin catches up to it and deals heavy (as heavy as a lv 13 nidoran can hit) damage with his horn.
The metapod hangs on only by a thread String (literally). Trying to pull himself up into the tree. It's still very slow.

You ask Shelly to name your Metapod. "Uh.. It's a her right? Well She'll evolve eventually so.. Psyche". (Greek goddess of the soul. Had butterfly wings. I could have gone with an aztec(?) goddess but psyche is actually pronouncable.)
With a new pokemon in your team you get back onto the path and head deeper into the foggy forest.

"Aaaah!"
It doesn't take long before you spot another pokemon. A weedle had fallen from a tree on Shelly. The surprise caused her to fling it off her.
Two more Weedle and a Kakuna also drop down. All weedle are lv 8. The kakuna is 9.
"You should be carefull! We haven't gotten that far in the forest yet. If all your pokemon are tired we won't be able to continue... Or go back for that matter."
