whirlwind sends wild pokemon away so u don't have to like fight them, in a situation were say ur big gun to deal with a large encounter is down and u don't wanna fuck with that noise?

if so, replace tackle with whirlwind.

Yes. But Remember you recently gained three more big guns.
Perhaps not as big as Kiro the OP but that sneasel packs a punch.
The onix is also more powerfull than I made it out to be before I found the pokemon damage calculator.(I checked and that battle would have been near impossible.)
And cyndaquil is named Az, which is indication enough of her power. Would be even more so if she had better moves but thats what lv ups are for.
You do know you can use those three too, right? Not just for double battles.

I guess against flying pokemon kiro is the best choice but you do have other options. He's already lv 26 You don't want him to get too far ahead. (Gym leader levels will be based around your strongest pokemon. And if your others are too far behind.. Just saying.)

But it's your choice.

I forgot to mention Az is similar to Kiro in how you bond with her. Unlike the other pokemon her bond is event related.

While Kiro's events are about revenge on team rocket, Az's events are centered around your relationship with Mii.

I have not decided what events Rol's bond will be centered around yet.

Also you need at least one bond point for Az to evolve. And two more for her final evolution.
Kiro will refuse to be touched by a thunderstone until he has 5 bond points.
Rol needs two bond points to evolve. Also the conditions it needs to evolve in the games. (Level up while holding razor claw at night.)

Most other pokemon need one bond point to evolve at their normal evolve level. (See Lucy who has one point and evolved) and a second one for their final evolution.
Pokemon that normally need maximum happiness to evolve need a full (6) bond.
