ChaoZ: A Royal pain in the elves.

The shadow caught the golems hand, saving fluffy. The Manticore jumps back and keeps his distance, unsure of how to take it down without his stinger,teeth and claws. Since those were the felines only weapons.
The golem charged at fluffy.

Jex managed to deflect the Rock but the golem followed right behind it. The Fire arrows didn't seem to do much except for leaving Scorch marks on the rocks. The golem attempst to punch Jex with it's remaining hand.

Rol flings himself in between the two with a shadow catapult, landing on his face of course. However he brushes of the impact and constructs a shadow wall between them.

"Maybe explosives will work, yes?"

The bounty hunter gathers three mini explosives in his hand to use.

Jex looked at the golem and cushioned the blow by creating an air barrier in between him and it's fist. He flew back and hit himself on the wall.

"Damn, son."

He wasn't a water-type so he wasn't sure what to do. He sped forward and swung his staff at the golem. Magic traveled from his arms to the staff, encasing it in hardened energy.

The golem was stopped by the shadow wall. It tried to break through by ramming against it, repeatedly. It took the golem five tries before the shadow wall shattered.
Giving Rol enough time to prepare an attack. Or he could just throw the explosives.
Either way he has an opening.

Fluffy meanwhile remained at a distance.

The impact broke off some bits of rock and cracked the golem's shoulder. But the golem didn't seem to register any pain and grabbed jex with it's one hand and started squeezin, attempting to crush the mage slowly.
Jex caught a glimpse of a glowing rune, similar to the gargoyle's outside, on the back of the golems head. Except it had the shape of a sun. (Like the stone things on the wall.)

"Throw attack." The bounty hunter threw the activated explosives towards the golem's face and detonated them.

"I am well aware that did not kill 'em." Rol said. "So YELLING RANDOM WORDS AND STUFF WOO."

Which was an attempt to create a distraction while he created a shadow trip wire for the golem to trip over, duh.

Jex swore under his breath as he was lifted off the ground. He caught a glimpse of the rune. Deciding that was it's weakness, he casted.


"Cutem: Glacie!"

He allowed his magic to seep from his body, slowly releasing itself and decreasing the temperature of his skin. He tried freezing the golem's hand, desperate to escape from its grasp.

The explosion made the golem stumble back. When the smoke cleared the golem was still standing but with a few cracks on its body. It charges towards Rol, it fails to notice the tripwire and trips over it crashing down hard. The rune on the back of its head now in plain sight. It's shape is a moon symbol much like the one on the wall plates.
The golem attempts to slowly rise back up.

The golems hand froze quickly. When the golem pulled his arm away the hand shattered. Leaving the golem without hands.
Jex was now free and but the golem charged back at the mage trying to punch him with the stump of its arm.

Rol went to axe kick the golem's head, surrounding his leg in shadows and forming a pick axe (literal axe kick, genius)

"That moon thing seems familiar, almost like a narrative trying to drive home its importance in my head. But that sounds like a Jex job, I just wanna break things." The bounty hunter said to Cole.

"You do that champ." The shadow thing replied mock enthusiastically.

Jex spun from the ground, and jumped behind the golem. A quickstep brought him directly behind it. He brought his hand down on the back of the golem, where the rune was and tried to sense the magic within it. If he could trace it, he would try to remove it from the golem's body.


"Here we go."

The shadow pick axe drilled through the moon symbol. But then suddenly part of Rol's shadow is sucked into the golem through the moon symbol. The Golem then crumbles apart leaving behind only a pile of rubble.

Fluffy tilts his head in confusion. He then just shrugs and decides to check out the chest in the room. The Manticore sniffs it but can't open it due to a lack of hands.

Jex was able to trace the mana to the core inside the Golem but when he tried to remove it the golem's upper body spun around, it's stretched out arm smashing against the mage and knocking him to the ground.

"Uh... Whaatt? Okie dokie.."

The bounty hunter was confused by the moon symbol's absorption of his shadow axe thing.

"Weirdest. Fricken.." Rol shook his head and then followed Fluffy to the chest. 

"Is it locked? Booby trapped? Empty?" He tried to open it up, blowing the concern his dialogue had to the wind.

Jex grunted and ran forward once more.


"Fine, have mine."

He yelled at the golem. Jumping straight on top of the Golem he would try to swing his magic empowered staff at it. Regardless of whether it would hit or not, he would attempt to swing back onto the run, putting his palm on top of it and allowing his mana to suddenly surge into the golem.

Inside the chest was a scroll. On the scroll was a map of the temple. It was old and dusty.

The golem stumbled back after being hit. The golem tried to slam its arm into jex but was too slow.
The sun symbol started glowing white as the mana touched it.
Jex's man flowed into the golem reaching its center but then was expelled through cracks in the golem like steam. The mana blew Jex off the golem.

"That center room looks important. But which of us went through the right side again?"


Rol asked his shadow companion and Manticore, neither of whom had an answer.

Jex groaned and fell backwards. He allowed himself to slide away from the golem as he landed. Spinning, he threw himself up and looked back at his opponent.


"Sagitta Magica! Series Fulgaris!"

10 bolts of fire magic shot at the golem. He whispered, casting another spell,


"Sagitta Magica! Series Glacie!"

5 ice bolts released themselves from the staff, remaining hidden behind the fires of the spells used beforehand.

Fluffy shrugs and walks towards the door. (Gonna assume Rol followed him.)
When they get to the next room they see Jex fighting the golem.
Fluffy flattens his ears but doesn't attack the golem, knowing he can't do much against it.


The fire arrows hit the golem in the chest and the ice arrows follow immediatly behind it. Big chuncks of rock break off but the golem doesn't fall. The golem charged at Jex, intending to slam into the mage at full speed.

Jex slams his staff into the ground, Aang style, and casts an ice spell, covering the ground between him and golem in a strong layer of ice.


"Glacie!"

Intending to use the golem's momentum against it, he spun around and held his staff like a baseball bat. Imbuing the staff with strengthening magic, he swung as hard as he could.

"Oh hey buddy, having trouble there?"

The bounty hunter stayed near the door he came in from.

"Go team go. Woo."

The golem slipped on the ice falling face first against the mage's staff as he swung it. The golems head flew of its shoulders and hit the wall breaking into hundreds of pieces.




With the rune destroyed the golems body also crumbles into a pile of lifeless rocks.

"Dead golem, cool."

Rol walks up to Jex.

"I have a map. Or maybe I left it in the other room, but there is another door in the first room you were in I think."

Jex sighed as he stared at the golem. He looked up at Rol and nodded.

"Then let's go."

He stretched his arms out, feeling his bones pop and his muscles relax. He started walking towards the first room.

They walk into the other room and the only thing that looks different is the ceiling being one floor lower.
Fluffy looks around and sits down. He looks up at the ceiling and tilts his head. He then looks towards the panels on the wall with the symbols that look exactly like the runes on the golems.

"what'chu looking at Fluffy."

The bounty hunter tried to roughly estimate where the manticore wass looking. He missed the panels by a few inches but assumed those are what the manticore was checking out.

"Yo, Magi That Guy. Think the rune are important or something?"

Jex looked towards the plates and started walking towards them. He slowly picked him hand up and touched the panel with the sun drawing on it.

"This is the same rune on the back of the golem I was against."

He stared at the rune and looked back at Rol.

"I broke the rune on the golem's back. Any ideas if they had anything to do with each other?"

"Maybe they are married?"

Rol covered his mouth with his hand, as if he suggested something scandalous.
