You head back to the forest entrance and look for pokemon just outside. It doesn't take long before you encounter a lv 11 Rattata.
Send out who?

>Nidowin with the poison sting.

You send out NidoWin and tell him to use poison sting. He charges at the rattata, it notices and tries to dodge but Nidowin is too fast and critically hits it. The rattata cries out in pain. It stays on its feet however and charges at nido trying to tackle but it barely connects.
Nido counters with his poison horn (poison point ability), poisoning the rattata.

Nidowin only needs one kick to take out the rattata, it's super effective.
Nido gains exp!
Two more Rattata jump out. One is lv 10 and the other lv 12.

Send out psyche to string shot the one on the left.

The Rattata on the right uses quick attack. It hits Nido hard but Nido counters with his horn and poisons the Rattata. (Ability)
The left Rattata also uses quick attack on Nidowin. But completely misses.
Nidowin Goes in for a double kick against the right one, the first one lands and is super effective but Nido slips up and misses the second.
Psyche shoots string at the left one. Slowing it down.
The right Rattata succumbs to the poison and faints.

Nidowin kicks the rival nidoran twice, both attacks hit but barely. It's not very effective.
The nidoran leers at Nidowin. Lowering his defense. The other nidoran also uses double kick, Both are critical hits! But Nidowin manages to block part of the second hit. Its also not very effective.
Psyche unleashes a confusion attack on the weakened nidoran. Lifting it up and throwing it away with her mind. It's super effective! The nidoran faints.

Nidowin kicks the rival nidoran twice again, the first one barely scratches the opponent and the second one completely misses. It's not very effective.
The nidoran also uses double kick again, The first one is a critical hit! But Nidowin manages to block part of it. He drops his guard with the second one but it's just a normal hit. Its also not very effective.
Psyche unleashes another confusion attack on the nidoran. It doesn't see it coming! Its super effective! The nidoran faints.
Psyche levels up. Nidowin Levels up.

Nidowin evolves into Nidorino, He looks much more dangerous now. You switch him out for Bruce.
Bruce moves in and karate chops the Rattata. It's a super effective critical hit! Instant K.O.
Psyche unleashes a wave of confusion on the female nidoran. Another super effective critical hit! The nidoran was knocked out before she knew what was happening.

Bruce gains exp and Psyche levels up! Psyche is about to learn poison powder, replace a move?

A pidgey appears. Lv 14

>Lose bug bite for the powder.

Psyche: String shot, then poison powder 
Bruce: Scratch, seismic toss

Bruce moves in for the scratch. The pidgey dodges most of the attack. It then sends a gust of wind at Bruce, It hits him but he stands his ground.
Psyche shoots string at the pidgey and slows it down.
Bruce grabs the pidgey and throws it down, it smacks against the ground hard.
Psyche releases a cloud of poison particles and blows it toward the pidgey.
The pidgey flaps its wings and sends a gust at Psyche. It's super effective!
The pidgey is hurt by the poison.

Bruce Scratch.

Bruce Leaps at the pidgey again and scratches it. Psyche then unleashes another confusion wave. It hits hard. The pidgey flies up and whips up another gust. It hits Bruce But it's not that strong.
The pidgey is hurt by the poison, it falls to the ground and faints. Bruce gains exp. Psyche levels up. She's about to learn stun spore, delete a move to replace it with?
Suddenly Weedle. (lv 11)

Return 'em both, send out Lucy. 
Peck.

Lucy dashes through the air and pecks the weedle who is caught off guard. It's super effective! The Weedle faints. Lucy gains exp.
A male and female nidoran pop up.

Lucy swoops in and attacks the female, it's a hard hit.
Kiro jumps out and releases a thundershock. It's a direct hit! The nidoran is heavily damaged, the female is also hit by sparks and is paralyzed.
The male nidoran tackles Kiro.
The female can't move.

>Lucy: Fury atack the Female
Kiro: Quick attack Male

Kiro flashes over to the male and knocks it out by punching it in the face.
Lucy follows behind him and attacks the female. She only attacks once but it's enough to knock her out.
Kiro and Lucy gain exp.
Two level 12 pikachu show up.

(I didn't notice Lucy used quick attack while she doesn't know the move until yesterday and I'm too lazy to do anything about it. So I'll let it slide this time. <.<)

Kiro Flashes right by the pikachu and misses it.
Lucy has more luck and lands a hit, the pikachu is too distracted by Kiro's complete miss and can't defend.
The other Pikachu unleashes a thundershock on Lucy, it's super effective. She managed to dodge the brunt of the attack however.
The last pikachu growls at Kiro.

Kiro thunderwave the other one.

Kiro Unleashes a wave of electric current but the pikachu are immune to it. (Gen 6 rules apparently.)
Lucy gets a hard hit in and the pikachu faints.
The other pikachu uses quick attack on lucy. It hits.

Kiro leaps at the pikachu and tackles it quickly. It is damaged by the attack, Lucy follows up and lands a critical hit.
The pikachu releases a thunderwave at Lucy, paralyzing her.

Kiro runs in circles untill a second him seems to appear.
Lucy is paralyzed and can't move.
The pikachu thundershocks the wrong Kiro.

You return to the pokecenter and hand your pokemon to the nurse.
You sit down with the bedwarmer and discuss random things. You get your pokemon back at full health.
"So what do we do next? The gym is probably already closed. We could continue training but it's getting dark out we might not find a lot of pokemon. Or worse we might get attacked by an ariados again."

The gym is indeed probably closed by now. You doubt you'll be attacked by an ariados again though, they're a rare species in Kanto.

You ask Shelly if she wants to go check out the museum. She agrees and you both head off to the other side of town. When you get there the receptionist tells you it's 50 PkD per person. You pay for the both of you and enter.
On the first floor there is a fossil exhibition, on the second floor a space exhibition and downstairs there is an art exhibition. Which will you go see?

You ask Shelly which one she wants to see. She thinks for a moment.
"Let's start with the fossils."
You nod and follow her. You stop to see each fossil in detail. The first is a kabutops. Its blades look very intimidating. Shelly seems to be intrigued by it.
You move on to the next fossil. Aerodactyl, It's larger than you expected. You imagine fighting this thing would be scary. It's teeth could rip Kiro apart easily. You shudder at the thought. Luckily they are extinct, you'll never have to face one of these, right? Somehow you feel uneasy. You urge Shelly to move on to the next display.

A dome and a helix fossil are laying next to each other. Above them a picture of an omanyte fighting a kabuto can be seen. You feel the urge to riot but Shelly recognizes your facial expression and stops you before you can even begin. "No Yu! You can't start that shit in a museum! Jeez."

She drags you away from the epic battle picture. There is still time to look at another exhibition.

You decide to head to the art section. The room is filled with paintings and statues of pokemon. Shelly seems drawn to the ones with mareep in them, You expected as much.
You however didn't expect the paintings of naked ladies. Then again it shouldn't be that surprising. You briefly wonder if you could convince Shelly to pose for you like this. You shake your head, you can't even paint.

You bonded with Shelly a bit and gained points towards her relationship. What do next?

You head to the gym to see when it opens. You can probably assume all other gyms in this region open at the same hours. So it would be good to know.
You arrive at the gym and see a sign in front. It reads: "Pewter Gym: Rock hard pokemon breeder Brock. Open from 9:30 till 18:00."
"I see, I imagine you won't be the only trainer to challenge this gym. If we don't want to wait too long tomorow we should be here early. Maybe we should head to bed so we don't oversleep."

Shelly has a point but it's almost 9 PM, staying up a little longer won't hurt.. probably.

You nod and agree to head back to the pokemon center. Once you get back you get ready for bed and set your alarm. You crawl into bed and think about locking the door so Shelly can't sneak in. You shrug, you don't really mind her doing that. You know her well enough to trust her after all.

You slowly drift off and your vision gets hazy. Suddenly you're surrounded by mist and hear a familiar voice. "You have survived the forest. But your journey has only just begun." It's the figure from before but you can barely make out where it stands, the fog is too thick. "You will face a much harder challenge soon, one that you can't overcome alone. Be-"
Suddenly the voice is interupted by a loud sound. You wake up.

It was your alarm? Yes, it must have been.. right? Your head hurts and you are covered in sweat. The bedwarmer is right where you expected her to be, cuddling you closely. Luckily there is no wet spot on your pants this time.
You look at the clock. 7:46 AM
Weird, you thought you set your alarm at 8 AM. You shrug it off and carefully climb out of bed without waking up Shelly and go take a shower.

When you get back she's already awake and drowsily stumbles into the shower after you. You go and order breakfast and wait for her to join you. You discuss what to do while waiting for the gym to open. You have a bit more than an hour left.
