Necropalypse: The River of Souls

"Why so tense? Rol just moved a few meters away, I mean he's standing right there." Reganya points. "Besides its not him you should be worried about. Not quite sure how long his batteries will keep him in the air." She pointed to Scott still hovering above them.


"If the robot falls we might be crushed. He also appears to not be hearing us soo.. I wouldn't stand in that spot for too long. just saying." She chuckles.
"Also if you really don't trust us, nobody is keeping you here.."


"Yeah, go mind your own business!"


"Doomy you're not helping."


"My name is not Doo-"

Above them Scott's engines begin to sputter.


"Uh-oh."

"I'm not worried about what that, the faster they fall, the better they impale on my Cryste Scythe. Besides, you aren't cowards, and he has the explosives. I embrace a death that isn't so messy, as you all might agree."



**ROLLING FOR ACTION FOR FUN!**

1 - 2 = The stranger bows his way out, heading towards but off to the right of the pyramids without another word at a comfortable job, likely trained to do so.

3 - 4 = To emphasis his first point, the stranger changes his stance so that the spear faces up to prove he would impale scott.

5 - 6 = Breaks character that has established so far to ask Reganya "It's starting to annoy me, but what are you for you are unlike most of the things I seen on my travels."

"We'd appreciate you not impaling our friend."

"SCOTT COME DOWN HERE BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF BATTERY!!"


"Sigh, look we don't want to fight a meaningless battle while the fate of Val is at stake. So either leave us be and go do whatever you came here for or do whatever. I don't even know." 
"Doomy, can we fly up to get Scott down before someone gets hurt? I now you don't like me possessing you but the faster we get Scott on the ground safely the faster we can move on."


"Hell no! I told you that you're not allowed to do that anymore! It's gross!"


"Oh grow up you brat." She says as she literally Walks into Doomy.


"Okay, now we go up and geT OUT OUT GET THE HELL OUT!!"

The stranger head tilts at this display, then turns his hooded head towards Rol, as if asking for an explanation.

"Awww. The battle couple is at it again. HOW ADORABLE!" A slight squeal comes out of Rol's mouth as he fangirls. But he notices the stranger's slight confusion. 

"They have some weird power synergy that let's them fuse together and get all powerful, and it's the cutest thing ever." The bounty hunter tried his best to keep from directly telling the stranger about his allies' powers, just in case.

Reathy flies up into the air. Doomy's resistance makes it a bit hard for Reganya to maneuver. They zig zag their way to Scott somehow and try to grab him. But at that moment his engines give out and he falls out of the air right towards the strangers spear. Unable to dodge since his battery is empty.


"OH SHIT! SCOTT!"


"GET OUT OF ME ALREADY!"



Reganya tries to go after Scott but Doomy's struggling keeps her from moving. 



"GODDAMNIT DOOMY THINK ABOUT SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF FOR ONCE!"



As Scott comes down, his heavy body creates a massive dust cloud and a loud crashing sound.



"Oh no..."




"...Oh.."

The dust cloud clears slowly.

The stranger was gone, as the dust settled, and Scott unharmed from any impalement.

Not even foot prints were left in the dust where he had danced his scythe against the mummies.

Scott opens his eyes screaming.

"WHY DO YOU GUYS MAKE SO MUCH NOISE!" Scott yells furiously.

"I was going to turn of my engines and at the last second open my dimension and take his weapon with me, but nooo you guys have to argue a ton and make me lose my concentration so I had wasted to much of my power by the time I started falling."

"With out that guys weapon I think we could have been the ones asking questions and not him, but what ever!"

"Um... Could some one help me replace my batteries.....please?"



"I can't really move right now...." Scott tries moving but is only able to move his finger just a tiny bit.

"Who do you guys think that person was anyways?"

Reathy makes their way down before Reaganya jumps out. 
"Jeez you had us worried there Scott. Good plan though, unless you know, he had other tricks up his sleeve. Which he probably did. In which case attacking him would not have been a good idea. Just saying."


"Yeah you idiot!"


"You're not that much smarter Doomy so shut up."
"My name is not DOOMY!!"


"Whatever you say Doomy. Sure, I'll give you a hand scott." Reganya helps Scott replae his batteries.
"No idea, lets hope we don't have to worry about him again. Mekheris will be enough of a challenge without any outside distractions."






"STOP CALLING ME DOOMY ITS NOT MY NAME!!"

"I know, I know. Anyway, lets get moving. We've wasted enough time here. The longer we wait the more the Undead will spread."

(Just saying, I won't return till you get to the boss )

The bounty hunter rejoined the group after Scott had landed. "Well, hey, maybe we could have used the guy as like a meat shield .. Or cloak shield, or something." Rol was just throwing out a random thought with no actual purpose. 

"Right. Undead. Kay. ONWARD"

With the mummies gone the group safely escapes the ghost town. They manage to avoid anymore undead encounters and soon reach their destination, the source of the undead outbreak.


"Of course, the eternal show off Mekheris strikes again." She sighs.

In front of them, a massive swamp that reaches as far as the eye can see. (Probably even further.) And in the center of it all, a massive silver pyramid towering far above everything else. The Green moon shining upon it gives it an eery greenish glow.


"You think there will be traps in this pyramid?"


"Theres always traps in pyramids, always."


"Dammit."

The group enters the second level: the eery Swamp.

"Maybe there won't be traps and ya know he'll give us pie or cake, or both! Maybe he changed his mind of being bad and wants to help people and be kind but he needs to have guards so that's why he was using he necro powers!!!!!! I'M A GENIUS!" Scott screams out while following the group


"But.... I don't know this place.... is kind of scary...."

"iScott, stop acting like me. Of course he isn't gonna give us cookies. The undead can't bake. Sheesh."

The bounty hunter looked about the surrounding swamp.

"Why the hell wasn't there swamping training in OB.."

"Hey! I find that offensive, I can bake very well."
"Really?"
"Dunno, how hard can it be?"
"In other words, you can't bake."
"Shuddup."

Moving further into the swamp the group finds it harder and harder too see. The trees blocking out most of the light. Every now and then the group sees large scratches on the nearby trees. Some of them with added dried up blood.
They hear something move ahead of them. Everyone stops walking.


"What was.."
"Shh!"

Rather than being quiet. The bounty hunter thought it best to alert the moving thing of their presence, what if it was some lost villager.

"WE ARE OVER HEAR. COME TOWARDS THE SOUND OF MY VOICE."

( Rol reminds me of Claptrap from Borderlands.

"FOLLOW THE SOOTHING SOUND OF MY VOICE!")

(CLAPTRAP IS MY HERO)

"..What the hell rol" Doomy says.
"Be quiet you two."

The sound suddenly stops.
"Is it gone?"
"I doubt it. Lets not wait around and find out."

The group moves on. Luckily nothing attacks them. With the amount of light rapidly decreasing as they go deeper the group can hardly see a meter ahead.

"Scott, got any lights you can use to help us?"

"Oh ya! You might need those." As Scott turns on his eye lights, blazing lights turn the whole area alight in the darkness.

"Forward we march! Right?" Scott starts walking forward.

"I dunno. Whenever I talk I get yelled at, ask the battle couple." Rol pouted. But NO ONE COULD SEE BECAUSE OF HIS MASK/HOOD THINGY. OOOOOH.

"Yes, forward."

With Scott light the group now could see around better. The first thing they notice are big claw marks on the trees. On ALL of the trees.


"... Lets hope we don't run into whatever made those."


The group keeps marching forward. Aside from their own footsteps the swamp is completely silent. The only things they find are corpses. (Not the walking kind) At first it was just a few of them. But then the group comes across a whole tribe of now dead Orcs. All of them slashed into pieces. They all show signs of once being undead. The wounds aren't that old either.


"Someone or something has been killing these guys for us. That or Mekheris is getting worse at controlling his undead."

"Swamp Beast? Werewolf? Wendigo? Ken when he gets angry?"


Rol listed options. Doubting the marks were from merryman's own undead. 

"Well, whatever it is, I doubt it follows the structure of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' So instead of expecting it to assist, WE MUST TAME IT."

Reganya sighed.
"It doesn't matter what it is. We can't afford any distractions. The longer Mekheris lives, the farther the undead will spread. Trying to tame wil creatures is a waste of time. Unless you happen to have any skills as a beastmaster. Which I doubt."


"Lets just get out of this damn swamp! My feet are getting wet. And its gross."

As the group headed further into the swamp the dead bodies increased in amount. Some were somehow hanging in the trees above and others were laying on the ground in piles.
Suddenly they hear a scream further up ahead. A pair of glowing eyes in the distance rushes towards the group.
