Necropalypse: The River of Souls

"ONE DAY REN, I'LL PROVE YOU WRONG. MAYBE BY TAMING A MANTICORE." Rol huffed.

The bounty hunter sighed and continued with the group, rambling about possible creatures he could tame. Only losing focus when the scream came about, of course he refocused to his attention to rambling although he was full aware of the charging glowing eyes.

As the creature closes in fast it becomes clear that its a ghoul. It screams.
Reganya takes a step back and prepares for combat. And Doomy summons his shadow scythe into his hand.
Only for the ghoul to run right past the group while flailing its arms in the air, ignoring them completely. Eventually it disappears from sight entirely. However its screams can still be heard.


"What the..?"
"..Hel?"

"What the actual fuck. That doesn't make sense, and as the lord and messiah of not making sense I'd definitely know that doesn't make sense." Rol spouted ironically not making sense. 

"That was undead. AND it was scared. Do not living things still fear for their not life?" The bounty pondered. Clearly puzzled. But honestly everything puzzled him.

Scott noticed the fearful ghoul, and then proceeded to ignore the bounty hunter who was a prime example of why robots could be considered the superior race. 

"What the-"

The robot was cut off by a familiar message in his head.

(Fuck scott's verbal cues. They normally are just him generally not giving a shit for been an invincible robot anyways.)

(No, the muting of scott when he says a bad word is automatic. Something I came up with for his character a long time ago. I used it in my first ChaoZ story. Which was based on AQW which had a mute function like that for everyone. )



"Well, Doomy is undead. And he gets scared often."


"I DO NOT GET SCARED!"


"So you don't mind that spider on your back then?"


"What spider?..AAAAH get it off get it OOOFFFF!!!" Doomy starts flailing around wildly trying to get the spider off his back.


"See? Anyway hopefully we won't come across whatever scared that ghoul. Its probably the same thing that left those bodies back there." She gestures to the direction they just came from.


Doomy runs around flailing in the background.

Rol nodded at the display of affection Ren and Deathy were sharing and proceed to look towards where the ghoul had come from.

"Does that mean we DON'T go down there? Or that we hope we get lucky?"

"ONWARD OBVIOUSLY"

The bounty hunter charged forward into trees and out of sight, before returning to the group. 

"We are going this way, yes?"

"Onward it is then."
"Ashera damn it."

The group went straight ahead. On their way they found more and more bodies pilled up. Remains of what were once undead goblin tribes scattered all over the place.
When suddenly a straight path to the pyramid becomes visible. Trees that blocked the way once were lying on the ground now.

"Whatever was here seemed to be heading to the pyramid too. And it doesn't like undead.."

"It doesn't like trees either.."

"Trees suck. Literally."

The bounty hunter yawned. Observing the goblins redead-undead bodies. 

"I feel the urge to take a shower already."

As soon as Rol said that it started raining.


".. I didn't know you could summon rain, Rol. We should get inside the pyramid. I don't like rain.."


"...Me neither."

The group quickly made their way to the pyramid. Only to find no entrance. "Shit." Reganya sighed. "We could go around but that'd take ages.."
"Yeah, no kidding. This pyramid is huge." Doomy agreed with Reganya twice in a row. (O.o)
"I'll slip inside and see if I can open anything up.. You guys.. umm try to stay dry?" She said before walking into the silver wall of the pyramid. The clouds gathered above the group as the rain poured down. The green moon disappeared behind them.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT. YOU GUYS CANNOT REACH THE AGREE WITH EVERYTHING PART OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP. THIS IS NOT CANON." 

Rol ranted loudly, probably loud enough for Ren to her, meaning anyone else inside the pyramid could as well.

"Jeez, you can't RUSH your love Deathy. Damn it." 

"THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP! I'M NOT RUSHING ANYTHING! For crying out loud stop shipping me, especially with HER of all people! " 

A part of the pyramid starts shaking before moving up, creating an opening. Reganya walks out while Doomy's keeps ranting angrily.


"It's not even funny! She doesn't have a face for fucks sake. Just because she has these creepy powers that she uses to possess me does not mean we are linked! She could do it to you too you know! In fact maybe she should! Next time she should possess you and I'll be the one standing back making fun of you! See how funny it'll be then!"


"..Guys, the Door is open." Reganya interupts Doomy's rant calmly, pointing to the door. Her lack of face makes it hard to see if she felt insulted or not.

The group enters the Pyramid and the door closes behind them. "I'm guessing Mekheris is at the top."

"Don't worry, Deathy's just shy Ren. He didn't mean any of that."

Rol shook his head disappointingly at Deathy.  

"I'm not making fun of you Deathy. I'm supporting you, as a friend."

Rol looked toward Deathy with a level of sincerity that Rol shouldn't really possess.

Reganya shrugged it off and kept walking.

"Whatever."   Doomy did the same.

A long and awkward silence filled the narrow hallways of the pyramid. At least until the mummies showed up. 5 in front of the group and 6 behind them. These mummies were stronger than the ones in the town. They used Ice magic.
The mummies threw shards of ice at the group.
